Friends with food

A number of friends have been feeding us since we arrived. Here is Brianna with her homemade beef stew. The day before this, she brought us chili and corn bread.

Brianna was also a huge help back when Jack was first born. There is no La Leche group in town, but she runs a group called Mentoring Moms. Through the group, women who have successfully nursed their babies volunteer to help others who are trying to figure it out. Brianna was my "mentor" and talked to me several times a day by phone, and she also drove out to our house in the country multiple times. Jack and I had a hard time at first but we got through it with Brianna's help. She is a patient and helpful friend.

And she's a great cook, too.
