20 Months

Jack is 20 months old now. I know it sounds like a cliche to say this, but it really is hard to believe.

He is starting to put words together in pairs now: thank you, mama; bye-bye, papa; mama pee pee (ha ha); and (not so funny) woof, bye bye.

He is starting to understand saying "sorry" and does it by giving kisses. He still walks up and gives us the random leg bite, but at least now it's followed by a kiss.

He is still nuts about Natalie, our mama's helper. She'll be back in school soon so we won't get to see here as often. For that reason, among others, he's started to go to daycare at Brianna's a few hours each week. So far he is still adjusting to that - the last time (his third) he cried the whole time I was gone. I am optimistic that it will get better, though.

Scott has been gone a fair amount for work lately, and Jack doesn't like that much. Usually by the end of the 2nd day he is asking for Papa, and by the end of the 3rd day he is crying angrily if I don't call Papa on the phone (which I can't do when Scott is in the wilderness).

All in all, though, he is doing great, still happy and obsessed with choo-choos. He even talks about them in his sleep, and I am not kidding. He is also crazy for water in any form and loves to go to the beach.

One more note: he has started to say that his name is "Baby". Probably from all of the times he's heard me say "not for Baby".
