Yesterday we were stunned to learn that the bank has approved our loan application. (Before that we only had the nebulous "pre-approval".) For some reason I am having a hard time believing it. They said it would take about two weeks to "close". I guess when that happens I will really believe it.
We called the excavator/septic guy last night - the one who has to go first - and he said he can get started if we get the permit in and give him a deposit. If something should go wrong with the closing, he will refund the deposit. So, that's next on our to-do list.
Also, today we are going to tour a couple of places built by the general contractor we are thinking of using.
