Last night we house-sat for Becca, a friend and neighbor from back when we lived north of town. We went out there in the afternoon and then, because it was Wednesday, I came back into town by myself for an evening of knitting at the shop.
It was fabulous to do that drive again. I had forgotten how the sky can look out there: amazingly bright with a billion stars. We lived up on a ridge, and up there the sky just seems to go on forever. It is magical.
When I got home around ten o'clock, this is what I found.
