Child Dedication Ceremony

Jack and I were supposed to start our "Music and Movement" class this morning, but it has been rescheduled due to ANOTHER snowstorm. It's a little late for this kind of weather, but it sure is pretty.

Plans are underway for Jack's "Child Dedication Ceremony". We had briefly discussed having him baptized in the Methodist church, but this Unitarian Universalist cememony more closely reflects our personal beliefs. We are hoping to rent the house where Jack was born and hold the ceremony there - it's a big space with great energy and there are lots of chairs. My friends from Thursday Night Group have agreed to participate and are in fact very excited about the idea. We will be picking a date during the summer or fall once we know more about Scott's work schedule, and we are hoping that some of our out-of-town friends and family will be able to join us for the celebration. I have been able to locate many beautiful sample scripts for child dedication ceremonies, and we plan to create our own based on those samples. To get an idea of what I am talking about, you can view one sample by going to the web address listed below.
