WolfTrack Classic Sled Dog Race

Today we were out there earlier than we would normally be on a Sunday. The reason? The WolfTrack Classic Sled Dog Race.

Jack has been all about dog sledding lately, watching movies like Balto and Snow Buddies, and reading all the books I can find on the topic. Sometimes he even pretends Daisy is sled dog, but I don't think she is too crazy about the idea.

I didn't tell him anything about today's race until we were getting ready to go, and I have never seen him get dressed faster than he did after he heard about it.

We arrived at the starting gate around 9:30, in time to watch about half of the 6-dog teams take off at two minute intervals.

It was very exciting - at one point a team even got confused and left the track. A ton of people we knew were there, and the weather was actually pretty mild.

Tons of fun for a Sunday morning, and we even made it back to Bog Ridge with plenty of time left for Sunday morning waffles!
