Fall is the Time for a Bog Walk

We've had a nice stretch of fall weather here, and we've been doing a lot of star gazing and listening to the wolves howl at night.  The weather's supposed to change this weekend, though.  Luckily, we all got out for trip to Agassa Lake the other day.

It was a perfect outing: pleasant temperatures, golden needles on the tamarack trees, and we had the lake all to ourselves when we got there.  Perhaps best of all: there were NO BUGS.  (We went on a bog walk during the summer of my pregnancy - I still remember that as the worst day of my life.  No, fall is definitely a better time for a bog walk!)

We're also switching gears as the season changes.  Scott is done with the Forest Service for the time being and he's back to work on Bog Ridge.  Ah, the smell of varnish!  I'm doing a lot of sewing and Jack is only a few weeks away from his fifth birthday.  Plus, we're all on the lookout for the moose that was spotted just across the road from our house the other day.

Happy fall, everyone!
