I am so excited about the next project for the sew along: We're not even done with April, but I've already got my squares cut.
I think that I am going to be able to be able to pull off more of a random look with this project than I did with Maya's quilt. As usual, I won't be following the project directions exactly, so stayed tuned to see what I've got planned.
(Wondering why my squares don't look ironed? I did my cutting during one of Jack's naps - no time to iron! I'd never get anything done around here if I was a perfectionist! But don't worry, I'll iron the squares before I start sewing.)

You are a brave woman to cut without ironing! Can't wait to see it all come together.
I should probably clarify - I did actually iron the fabric in preparation for the cutting. After I was done ironing, though, I had to take a break (enter four year old son), and set the fabric aside. Some days later, when I got back to it, the fabric was once again creased and wrinkled. Rather than repeat the same sequence of events, I decided to forge ahead.
Brave? Perhaps. But, probably just more like realistic.
