Finished, Times Two

I finished my cross stitch, and I love it!

Don't look too closely, though, because if you compare this photo with the one in my last post, you'll realize that I worked the whole piece upside down. I didn't realize I had the chart upside down until after I had been working for a couple of days, but once I did, I kept working in the same direction until I was done. Since this is only the second cross stitch I've ever done - and the other one was well over 10 years ag0 - I am pretty happy with the end result.

Meanwhile, Scott has finished the ceiling in Jack's room!
"Finished" might not be 100% accurate because he still needs to put up the trim, but it's still beautiful.
Today he built a storage shelf in the laundry room - so that we can empty out the other two rooms upstairs - and next he will work on the ceiling of the stairway and hallway.

Little Jack continues evolving into a Big Kid and our days are action packed. When the weather cooperates we get outside as much as possible. Here he is in the snow cave he built with Scott.
This weekend is the knitting retreat at Camp Du Nord. I don't know how it got here so fast, but I can't wait to see all of the knitters and find out what they've been working on. The massage I've got scheduled for Saturday morning should be pretty fantastic, too.

Love the cross stitch! I haven't made one in years...maybe time to revisit this craft? Hmmm :) Also, love the snow fort!

The cross stitch turned out wonderful upside down or otherwise! Loving the ceiling in your son's room.
